Surf Camp at Spot X. Getting taught the basics and the rules (#1: look cool n have fun) and then heading to the beach. Actually succeeding on standing up on a surfboarding and surfing right up to the beach. Amazing dinner and then hanging out by the camp fire. Great last OZ evening.

Fraser Island

Driving around in a 4x4, sleeping in a tent, swimming in Lake MacKenzie, camping on a bus car park by mistake, making pasta with lake water, jumping off the sandblow at Lake Wabby, ghost stories at night and NO DINGOES.

Kroombit Cattle Station

One night at a real Aussie Cattle Station. Whip cracking, rodeo bull riding, shooting clay pigeons, learning how to throw a lasso, try and catch a goat with a lasso, goat mustering on horseback and sleeping on the bus

Airlie Beach ll

A 2 night boat afterparty with the British Defender & the OZ bussers. A lot of partying at Beaches, Shennaningens and Mamma Africa's and then some lazying around at the lagoon.

Whitsundays Islands

An unbelievable 2 days and 2 nights sailing around the Whitsundays. Getting to know Pip, Jess, Andy and all others on the British Defender a whole lot better. Human pyramides on Whitehaven Beach, looking for shooting stars, amazing sunset, helping to sail by grinding, eating really nice food, winning the quiz with our team Roger & the Cabin Boys, ghost stories, weird games, sleeping in a tiny bunk.

Mission Beach

My first OZ bus down to Mission. Stopping at a crocodile farm and holding all sorts of reptiles, watching scary crocs, cuddling with a dingo and loving the kangaroos. Staying at Scottys Beach House: fires on the beach, chilling out by the pool, jumping out of a plane, landing safe and sound on Mission Beach.

Chatswoord: where my cousin Leanne lives and is close to the city center. Bondi Beach: where my cousin Linda and her family live, right next door to the beach and many cool cafés. Reading, walking around, writing, shopping (too much), enjoying Sydney

Catalina Island

A weekend on an island. Kayaking, hiking, mountainbiking and snorkeling. Exhausting, but so much fun. And then the ferry ride from hell to get back to the main land.

Spring Break '09! Staying in Beverly Hills 90210 and running around LA. Rodeo Drive, the Walk of Fame, Hollywood, a crazy bus tour in one of those red dubbeldecker busses, the Walt Disney Concert Hall, shopping at the Grove, on the Pier between Venice and Santa Monica and much more.
