Our luggage on the way to Singapore. Nora waiting for the speed train (TGV) to Charles de Gaul airport in Paris.
The train terminal at the airport.
Of course we stayed with our family in Pasir Ris = )
The Pasir Ris local wet market, full of fresh fruits, vegetables, fishes and meat!
We took this double decker bus to Geylang to visit the yearly Ramadhan bazaar.
The new Geylang market, behind it, they are building condominiums.
Good old Joo Chiat complex, probably one of the oldest shopping centre in modenr Singapore.
Ketupat anyone? yum!
We bought Chendol from this store for the breaking of our fast, although it was delicious - it was way too sweet and thick with coconut milk!
This is famously known as "Kuih Tunjuk2" - u just point, pay and bring it home to serve it to your guests for Hari Raya ; )
Nora experience her first "bunga api" with her cousins.
The family Hari Raya cookies collection for 2009 = ) sedaaaap!!!

After Sentosa that day, we headed to Little India.
Still very colourful and noisy ; )
We had teh tarik with our orders of Masala Thosai! yum yum!!!
This is where we had my birthday lunch!
My birthday meal at The Banana Apolo Leaf Restaurant! Good old south indian food!
Nora slept through the whole meal and when she woke up, she only wanted rice and papadum.
The National Museum of Singapore. There was an exhibition from Belgium.
This piece of 'art' is suppose to depict a battle field after an attack, with dead horses laying everywhere. I found it gruesome, the horses looked too real!
Inside the spotless National Museum, they have such a fantastic museum shop!
I used to go to Plaza Singapura with my late dad, just to go to Yaohan! Now its buzzing with alot more shops and eateries.
We took this Ferries Wheel at Downtown East, it is inside the building, nothing fancy, infact, i got motion sickness afterwards!
Of course, the Singqpore Zoo is a MUST see - I love these elephants just located at the entrance! We had to queue up to take a picture there!!
Since we did not bring Nora's stroller along for this vacation, we thought it best to rent this pully - she is abit too heavy to be carried now = )
Nora, the city slicker, braving it for the camera.
This is still at the Zoo and a must for all kids of all ages ; ) Pretty fun place especially on a hot day!
This is our favourite section of the Zoo!
Besides the Asian Civilization Museum, The Mint Museum of Toys has become one of our favourites too.
Nora with her cousins, Nadiya and Natasha
This is Orchard Road, this monstrosity is called ION, located just right next to Wisma Atria. They should have just kept the green fields there!
The famous Orchard Road, on a week day of course!
Masjid Sultan.
ZamZam just celebrated their 100th anniversary, we met up with some friends here over murtabak, mee goreng and briyani = )
Bedok Central - a place where I grew up in. This hawker centre has one of the best food in Singapore, i think.
There were lots of such shops selling these infamous butterfly or bati, printed long dresses that my mum love to wear at home.
Bengawan Solo - my favourite place to go get my afternoon dosages of Kuih Kaswi and all other delicious tapioca (ubi) kuihs! yum!!!
B finally has the opportunity to taste the Durian! And as suspected, he did not like it - Thank God cos i cant stand it either! = ) The smell alone can give me a headache!
